Ventilation & Heat Recovery

Good ventilation keeps a home healthy: fresh air in every room, less condensation and mould, and lower heating bills when the heat is recovered. Pyramid installs ventilation systems in new builds, extensions, renovations and garden rooms across Ireland.

What we install

Whole-house MVHR

Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery: the unit, the ductwork to every room, the valves and the roof or wall terminals.

Single-room heat-recovery units

Through-the-wall units, usually installed in pairs, with no ductwork. A good fit for small homes, garden rooms, modular units and renovations.

Extract fans

Bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms, with timers or humidity control, ducted to the outside.

Builder's works

Openings, core holes, boxing-in and making good around ducts and units, done by the same team.

Whole-house MVHR. One unit supplies fresh air to bedrooms and living rooms and extracts moist air from the kitchen and bathroom. The heat from the outgoing air warms the incoming air.

Single-room units in pairs. One unit brings fresh air in while the other takes stale air out, then they swap. A ceramic core stores the heat and gives it back. No ductwork needed.

  • We plan the ventilation together with the build, so ducts, units and the airtightness layer fit the structure, especially in light steel frame homes.
